Steps to Feel Better, Quickly!

Want to feel better?

Would you like to get off the rugged road of despair?

Want your life to flow with ease?

What the happily-ever-after life?

Ahhh! You’ve come to the right place! Today we’re going to talk about how to feel better. This is going to be short and sweet!

Let’s get going….

The quote above states, “The path to feeling better is paved with gratitude and appreciation.”

When you’re feeling bad, you’re certainly not living a life of appreciation and gratitude. Do you want to know how I know? Easy, you’re feeling bad!

You cannot possibly feel bad and truly be appreciative and grateful. They are diametrically opposing vibrations. They are worlds apart on the vibrational spectrum. Now, don’t run away huffy. Listen a minute!

Think about how you started feeling bad in the first place. Were you complaining? Were you looking at something you don’t want? Were you mulling over in your mind, all the sh*t that’s been going on lately? Have you been talking with friends and family about how bad stuff has gotten and they totally agree with you? No wonder you feel bad.

Well, that’s a ton of momentum into the negative vibrations. Those vibrations are low, low, low! That’s definitely not where feeling-good hangs out! Have you noticed that bad stuff is starting to snowball? Momentum in the wrong direction. Momentum moving you away from feeling-good.

Calm down. Take a breath. Let’s get you feeling better now!

Here are a few steps you can take to quickly raise your vibration and paving a better-feeling future….

  1. Notice how you are feeling right now. You may have a lump in your throat, a tightness in your tummy, an achy back or neck, any pain in your body. Just notice it and how you feel. Make up a feeling-scale from 1-10. One, feeling absolutely crappy and in utter despair. Ten, being jumping out of your skin with joy, doing the happy dance!
  2. Grab a pen and paper/notebook. Write that feeling-number on a piece of paper at the top, circle it and date the page, too.
  3. Go play with your pet for a few minutes, if you have one. Think about how awesome he/she is. Tell them how much you appreciate them being your friend and loving you unconditionally. Let them know you’re going to start feeling better real soon. They’ll get it–trust me!
  4. On the paper or notebook where you wrote down the feeling-number, jot down some things you’re grateful for. Anything that has happened that feels pretty good. Something you’re grateful for that happened, instead of something bad happening. There will be a slight feeling of resistance in gratitude, because you’re comparing something good happening instead of something not as good (not as good will have a twinge of resistance and that’s okay). We’re just making gentle shifts in your vibration.
  5. Now, in the notebook under your gratitude list, jot down at least 3-5 things you really appreciate. It could be about conditions, people, pets, sunrises/sunsets, the earth orbiting perfectly in space, the oxygen you breathe, your car, lover, etc. You get the idea. These things have no resistance attached to the feeling of them. You just love and adore these things. Period. There is no, I love and appreciate this, but….. I mean, how can you not totally appreciate you’re breathing and you’re heart is pumping, and you don’t even have to tell your body to do it! Got it? Good!
  6. When you’re done with your appreciation list, notice how you feel now. Has your feeling-number gone up the scale–even a little bit? Write that number at the end of your writing and circle it. Feel the satisfaction of accomplishing a rise in your vibration. Smile, and put your pen down.
  7. Do this every morning and evening. At minimum, once a day. It might take a bit to get started, but the more you do it, the faster those ideas flow. You may get to the point, you are writing pages of things you appreciate. It will feel like you can’t write fast enough, because they just keep flowing. My gawd! That feels wonderful!
  8. If you’re still having trouble with step 1-7, go take a nap! Or, if it’s bedtime, go to bed. Sleeping slows the momentum you’ve got going. Determine to wake up and think some more positive thoughts. It would be awesome, if you would do steps 1-7 again, after your nap or in the morning.

If you faithfully practice steps 1-7 every day, you will notice that feeling-number going up on the scale. Look back on previous pages in your notebook and see how you’ve improved. This whole practice only needs to be about 15-30 minutes. Surely you have that much time in your day to start feeling better!!

Resisting Anything Attracts More!

“If you are resisting anything, you are focused upon it, pushing against it, and activating the vibration of it – and therefore attracting that which is like it.” ~Abraham-Hicks

If we insist upon resisting or pushing against anything we do not agree with, do not like, do not appreciate, we will simply attracting more things we do not agree with, do not like, do not appreciate!

Anything we give our focused attention to will bring more of the same essence to us. It’s Law! We can never, ever, push against something we don’t like and expect it to go away. There is no supporting Law of Resistance! Resistance is contrary to the Law of Attraction.

Our thoughts and emotions create our vibrational point of attraction. There are always emotions behind our thoughts, which emit vibrational frequencies. The Universe is simply feeling our vibration and matching, with great accuracy, the vibration we are emitting. That is the premise of the Law of Attraction—that which is like unto itself, is drawn—like attracts like.

There is no exclusion. We cannot shout, NO, at anything we do not want and expect it to go away. When we push against or resist anything, we are giving it our attention and bringing it to the attention of others, which increases its power and expands it rapidly!

It’s like saying, “You that I do not like, that I do not want, that I do not appreciate, come to me! I am giving my attention to you, that is unwanted, so please bring more of it to me!”

In a universe governed by the Law of Attraction, we are always, and only, attracting every-single-thing that comes into our experience. Remember, the universe can only match our vibration—so, some thought-vibration within us was activated, matched and expanded into our experience.

So, how do we make something we don’t want, go away?!

We focus on something different, something pleasing, something we do want, something we appreciate. Say, what?! How can focusing on something more pleasing help get rid us of the thing we don’t want?

Again, it’s all about attraction! By law, whatever we focus upon is what the universal forces match to bring us more. Maybe you’re thinking, “How can anything bad go away when we don’t make others aware of how bad it really is? How can simply thinking about something that pleases us, help to improve the bad situation? That’s ridiculous! That’s sticking my head in the sand!”

Notice how you feel when you think about, talk about, create a group to fight against something that you’ve deemed bad. Do you feel light-hearted and happy? Do you feel expansive and joyous? Or, do you feel overwhelmed, disempowered, out-of-control, revengeful, heavy and contracted?

If we are honest, when we think about things that upset us or things we don’t like, we must acknowledge, we feel like shit! Honestly, fighting against anything or anyone never feels good! Taking sides and being against anything destroys our relationship with our Inner Source and with all other people. Disconnection never satisfies!

Now, notice how you feel when you think about things that please you, that you appreciate, that you really want. It feels amazing! There’s a song in your heart, there’s joy that bubbles up, and you feel light and empowered. You feel love. You feel like shouting with exultation from the rooftops!

Each of those feelings are emitting a vibrational frequency that become your point of attraction. Which would you prefer? To feel good or to feel bad? Seems like a no-brainer, but we see people, all the time, giving excuses as to why they cannot feel good. And, then there are others who always seem to be in a good mood, no matter the circumstances!

The good news is that you have a choice in how you feel and what you attract!

When a circumstance or the behavior of a person comes into your experience and you notice that you don’t like it, you immediate know what would be better—you immediately ask (vibrationally) for an improvement. This circumstance or behavior is simply contrast that life is presenting you with, so you can make a choice of what you’d really like. It helps you clarify your desires. It helps you give detail to what you really want.

Resisting and pushing against that which is unwanted or displeasing, gives it energy to grow. Remember, it’s law! On the other hand, if you see the contrast and focus on the improvement, you are giving that energy for it to grow. Again, it’s simply the law of the universe.

When thought/emotional energy is given to any subject, it expands. It doesn’t matter if it feels good or bad. When thought/emotional energy is withdrawn from any subject, it diminishes and loses its power. There truth to the old saying, “Ignore it, it will go away!”

This philosophy seems counter-intuitive to most people who do not understand the Law of Attraction. Most folks have been taught to fight against what they have deemed bad. They’ve been taught to fight again folks they disagree with or who don’t do it their right way. They feel they need to control the behavior of others—punishing them when they don’t follow the rules created to control behavior. Most rules are made from a place of fear, of a need to control, of misalignment with our true goodness/God-ness within.

The only way to diminish what we do not want, what we don’t like, is to withdraw our attention from the unwanted and focus our undivided attention upon the improvement we’ve vibrationally asked for. Once we ask for an improvement, Source Energy immediately answers, YES! Source begins gathering all the necessary cooperative components to provide for our desire. In other words, we ask and Source/God answers, yes.

So, now what happens?

The next step is to allow ourselves to receive it—allow ourselves to align with our Source Energy within and be happy. We must focus upon the amazing improvement we’ve asked for. We feel how good it feels to have the improvement we’ve asked for—now! We think about our desire without inserting any doubting that we will have our desired improvement. And, we don’t worry about that unwanted thing! This is absolute key! Remove it from your mind, from your thought energy, from your realm of awareness. Ignoring the unwanted is the sure-fire way to weaken its power and diminish its influence.

Here’s a secret. The universe doesn’t know if what you are feeling has already happened or if it hasn’t happened yet. This is where your power lies. The universe is matching is your vibrational signals. It’s incredibly important to conjure the good-feelings, as if you already have your improvement—now. Power is always in the now! The universe is matching feelings/vibrations—not the subject matter—not the physical reality of it. The universe understands and matches what you mean/feel, not what you say.

Let me give you an example….

Let’s consider the fight against cancer that is so rampant in our world. With the creation of the cancer awareness groups and campaigns, with the energy of money donated for cancer-disease research, with the marches for cancer survivors—we have simply given cancer more power and energy to expand! You can read the statistics. Cancer is on the rise, not the decline! This proves to us that concentrating our attention and energy upon something will expand it in every way! It’s law! It must bring us more of the same essence, and more, and more, and more! If fighting against cancer worked, we would see a sharp decline in cancer rates.

If we could get ahold of the principles of the universal Law of Attraction and apply them, we would ignore the horrors of cancer and focus on amazing health. We would focus on good foods that give our bodies nourishment and vitality. We would focus upon appreciating our bodies and their marvelous support they give us each, and every day. We would focus upon the joys of life and nature. We would live harmoniously with each other. We would be happy AND healthy! Well-being is our natural state and our bodies would return to vitality and health, if we would focus upon well-being, vitality and health, instead of disease!

Guess what we’re doing when we focus upon the pleasantries of life—when we focus with appreciation and gratitude? We are vibrating with a frequency that attracts more of the same! We are expanding what we really do want—by law!

Try it in your own life. Prove to yourself, the principles of the Law of Attraction to be true. All you have to do is look around the circumstances of your life. Are they pleasing and what you do want? Or, are they troublesome and, definitely, not what you want? Whatever the circumstances, you have attracted them by your attitude and thoughts. Any crap? You attracted that! Any goodness? You, also, attracted that!

Where do we go from here?

Begin noticing how you feel—take a feeling-barometer reading of your emotions. Do you feel good or bad? Empowered or disempowered? Confident or like a loser? Your emotional feelings are the indicator to monitor—which is a whole lot easier than trying to monitor every thought. When you notice yourself feeling bad, turn your attention to something that feels better. Even a little better. Always reach for the better-feeling thought.

The longer you stay focused upon something pleasing, the faster similar thoughts will race in to support the good-feeling. This is referred to as momentum. By law, the universe notices your better-feeling and within 17 seconds will send another supporting thought. Every 17 seconds, another thought like the preceding ones will attract more of the same, until you have reached the 68-second mark and you will have a good momentum of good-feeling thoughts flowing. Congratulation! You have shifted your point of attraction in those moments and the universe is lining up all the good things you desire to rush into your reality.

Now, do this all throughout the day. Every time you notice you’re feeling good, revel in it. Milk it for all it’s worth. Roll around in the deliciousness of the wonderful feeling. It will get easier and easier to find things to appreciate, because the universe will be bringing you more and more things to appreciate! That’s not hopefulness—that’s law!

The Law of Attraction can work in your favor, if you practice feeling good! Then, watch as those things you used to resist and push against, fall away and diminish their influence in your life. Just remember, every single person must find their own joyful, good-feelings if they are to improve their lives. If they are in the throes of a disparaging circumstance, they must find their own happiness and learn to focus upon their desire improvement. No one can improve another’s circumstances sustainably. The only sustainable better-feeling-life comes from within. No outside sources can satisfy a person’s lack of relationship one has with their own Higher Self.

Let’s start using the principles of the Law of Attraction with purpose. Make it your priority to feel good, so the universe can match those good-feelings with more of the same essence! Find things to appreciate. Make lists of wonderful things you love to think about. Notice what brings you pleasure and ponder them with joyous emotional feelings. Instead of resisting and pushing against something or someone, support and focus upon the improvement. Feel the good-feeling as if it has already happened. We only desire things because we think we will feel better by the having of them—so feel better now—so it can expand and come to us!!

Remember the 99 and Set Boundaries

“You can do 99 things for some people and all they will remember is the one thing you didn’t do.” ~PowerOfPositivity

People. Pleasing. Does. Not. Work!

It is not sustainable. People-pleasing was never meant to be a sustainable relationship. It will wear you out and make you resentful and very unhappy. And, in the end, it will never really please the other person in the way they want to be pleased.

We are all here, physically, to experience a great relationship with Ourselves, Non-physically (spiritually, eternally). When that relationship is not at its best, we look outside ourselves to shore up the feeling of the alignment we are seeking within Ourselves. But, that outside-seeking is never going to satisfy our need for alignment within, so it will never please us and make us happy enough to live a joy-filled life. We will always feel dependent upon others to do the job we intended to perform to gain our personal alignment with who we really are.

Please stop trying to  please others at the risk of emotional, mental and physical exhaustion on your part! It is futile.

None of us came to this physical life with the purpose to please others and make sure they were happy. We came to this life with the purpose of living joyful, creative lives. Never dependent on anyone else for our happiness or our alignment.

That means…each of us! That doesn’t mean some of us came to be pleased and some of us came to be pleasers! We each came here knowing that it was solely our job to be happy–without anyone else’s help–or demanding anything from anyone. No control. No demands.

How do I know this?

I know this because of how it makes me feel when I succumb to people-pleasing tactics. I feel like sh*t! When I get stuck doing something for someone that I never wanted to do in the first place, but did it anyway out of responsibility or obligation. You know the feeling–you start to get tense, maybe your stomach churns or get a lump in your throat. You start to resent having to do something, again, for this one who always seems to be so good at needing emergency help, or in-a-bind-favors. Over and over again. It gets very exhausting!

Besides your mental and emotional stress, all that tension and resentment is taking a toll on your physical body. Your body is very sensitive to the vibrational frequencies you are emitting through your thoughts and emotions. If your emotions are out of whack–imagine what your poor body is going through??? Pretty soon, you’ll have a reason not to extend any more favors, because your body will create an illness, pain or disease that will prevent you anyway.

I’m NOT saying you can never do something for someone else. Not at all! If you can do something for another person and you can stay aligned and happy in the doing of it–then by all means–follow your heart!! It can be an amazing delight to be a help to another person!

I’m talking about the repetitive cries for help that never seem to end. Sometimes they tend to get bigger and more time-consuming. You’d like to tell them to get their sh*t together and get a life. They are not the center of your world–you are!

If we feel taken advantage of, it time we must learn to set boundaries. Takers tend to step and stomp all over their helper’s lives. Taking no notice of the inconvenience and expense they may cause another. So, setting boundary lines is the only way to stop the abuse.

Setting boundaries is our opportunity to think different thoughts. Obviously, we have attracted the time and energy vampires by our previous vibrational thought patterns and beliefs. We invited people to demand our time and energy by thinking thoughts of our not enough-ness. Beliefs that we must serve others before our own needs and desires. That being selfish with my time and resources is wrong. That it is better to give than receive! Thinking, if I can just change my behavior enough to please him/her, then I will be appreciated and accepted. Bullpucky!!

You can’t keep serving from an empty pitcher. Self-care is necessary and life-sustaining. Time and resources are solely ours to keep or share at our bidding. Giving and receiving are two sides of the exact same coin–they are equal! We can never change our behavior enough to please anyone for any length of time–because they are always changing what they want us to be, according to their whim of the day.

When someone is truly in need and we can feel good while we are performing the favor, then by all means, do it! Delight in serving another. But, never, ever perform a favor for someone if you are doing it out of dread, fear, obligation, guilt, resentment–you get the picture. This attitude will not truly help them or yourself. Only perform favors when you are happy and truly glad to help out. Our alignment with who we really are is the guiding inspiration regarding any action to be performed. If it feels good–do it!

On the other side of this, we may need to question if we are the person who is not appreciating the favors of time and energy someone have given us. Are we the one who constantly demands favors from others? Are we the one who is not appreciating the 99 things people do for us and only remembering that one thing they didn’t do? Are we holding a grudge for that one little thing left undone?

If we are a time and energy vampire, it’s time to focus upon our own alignment with our inner being and let go of the need to control others’ behavior to make us feel better. Feeling better is truly what we are looking for–which only comes through our alignment with our Inner Source. Maybe it’s time to take up our own job of alignment with our inner being and begin thinking in new ways that help us feel better and better. Maybe it’s time to change some beliefs–that others owe us, that we are the center of everyone’s universe, that we are the victim and we can’t help that everyone’s out to get us, that we simply cannot help ourselves.

Look for things to appreciate. If someone is doing something for us, tell them how much we appreciate all their help. Make lists of things we appreciate about our life and the part others play in our experience. Look for positive aspects of all that comes our way.

The more we make the effort to live a life of appreciation, the more the universe feels this new shift in vibration and will bring us more things to appreciate! Remember and make a list of all the 99 things done for us. As we focus appreciation for the 99 things, we’ll not even remember the one that didn’t get done. It won’t even matter!

All is Well!!

Stress Relief 101

“The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.” ~William James

We tend to think of stress as coming from outside sources. You may recognize some of the following statements about stress.

This situation with him stresses me out!

I’m going through a stressful week at work.

I’m so stressed out over finances.

Driving in traffic stresses me to rage!

You get the idea.

Pure and simple, stress is resistance–resistance against something we don’t like or something we may not want to do, but feel obligated or responsible to fulfill. Resistance against someone who we don’t agree with or don’t like to be around. Stress doesn’t feel good.

In this universe governed by the Law of Attraction where–that which is like unto itself, is drawn–like simply attracts like. When laws are involved, there is no other option. The Law states that like attracts like. The universe is playing a matching game where the rule demands when a vibration is given off, it must, by law, find something that essentially matches the same vibration.

We know that everything is energy–thank you, Albert–and as such, our every thought is energy. We, also, know that energy is in constant motion and gives off vibrations. So, our thoughts are constantly giving off vibrations of different frequencies.

If the universe, by law, is matching each vibration of thought, and if we are thinking we are under stress, doesn’t it stand to reason we have attracted whatever stressors we believe we are suffering, by our own thoughts??

So, if we have attracted the stress by our thoughts, can’t we simply change our thoughts to a different vibrational frequency to gain some relief? I’m so glad you asked! Yes, we can!!

Because we attracted stress by our thoughts, we absolutely can change our thoughts to change our attraction to stressors. We have the power within our thoughts to attract a calm and peaceable life! Ease and flow can be the dominant experience with the right kind of thoughts–thoughts that actually feel good.

Stress is a resistance to something or someone unwanted. Resistant thoughts activate more thoughts of resistance, which attract more resistance. We are now completely stressed out!!

Instead, why not look for positive aspects in an unwanted situation? Remember the saying about everything having a silver lining? Find something, some aspect, to appreciate as you are facing something unwanted, rather than being in resistance. Every time we look for something to appreciate, we are activating our vibrational attraction of more to appreciate!

Every situation is either fulfilling a desire or clarifying a desire. In other words, when we are experiencing something we attracted–because we attract everything that comes to us–it is either fulfilling one of our desires or it is giving us time to clarify the details of a desired improvement.

While we are facing some situation that we see could turn into a stress for us, why not take the opportunity to change our thoughts and find something to appreciate. Even if it’s simply to appreciate the opportunity to decide more clearly what we really do want.

Appreciate that this person has given you the opportunity to clarify an improved vision of your relationships. Appreciate the fact that you have work and want to be successful. Appreciate a characteristic or quality that the person exemplifies–even if it’s that they have nice hair! Appreciate that you have a vehicle and feel yourself gliding on a magic carpet of ease and flow through traffic.

And maybe, just maybe, you may have to say, NO. No, I will not help with this project. No, I will not help you move this weekend. No, son/daughter we are not joining another athletic team that takes away from our family time. No, to the busyness. No, to the hurrying. Just say NO!

We are not here to please others. We are not here to make sure everyone else is happy at the expense of our sanity and well-being. We must stop being people-pleasers! We can never do enough for others to please them all the time. And, there are just too many moving parts to please or control! Resisting our well-being by trying to please everyone else is attracting way to much stress. The more people-pleasing you perform, the more reasons you’ll attract unnecessary stress.

But, we have the power to say no to others, and yes to ourselves, our peace of mind and well-being. Yes to our freedom of choice! Yes to new thought patterns that bring relief.

Yes, this change of attitude and thought patterns take time and practice, but the effort is so worth…YOU!

All is Well!

Our Morning Choice

“A good morning is dependent upon choosing positive thoughts.” ~Mary Ann Pack

If you would like to have a good morning, do you plan for it the night before?

Do you know your day starts the night before?

When you climb into bed, what has been your dominant feeling as you fall asleep? Have you been ranting about something that happened during the day? Complaining about someone who wronged you? Or, worrying and fretting about what-ifs?

In what vibrational energy are you falling asleep?

Your pre-sleeping vibration has momentum. Yes, your vibration stops during sleep, but unless you consciously choose to find positive thoughts the next morning, as soon as you awake, you will probably start your morning thinking about what you were thinking  the night before. If you tend to think negative thoughts, you will probably pick up in the morning where you left off with a negative thought pattern from the night before.

If, on the other hand, you focus your thoughts upon gratitude and appreciation in preparation for sleep to ensure you are at a high vibrational level, your probability of beginning your morning with positive thoughts is very good!

Whichever thought patterns you have practiced the most, will probably be what you think about as you review your day before falling asleep, and it will continue the next morning–unless you make a concerted effort to re-pattern your thoughts that feel better.

Sleep offers us the perfect opportunity to reset our vibration.

Take a moment as you awake to revel in the delicious feeling of your bed–the warm blankets, the lush pillow, the snuggly feeling of your room. Delight for a few moments, that you are alive and breathing. Appreciate your body for renewing during your rest. Appreciate your body for performing all the necessary functions to keep you alive, breathing and heart beating–without your supervision. These thoughts will help you find other thoughts of appreciation as you arise and move through your day.

When you first begin this process, you may only stay positive for a few moments before something distracts you into the negative. But, the more you practice this positive choice of thoughts, you will notice you stay aligned with the positive longer throughout the day.

Begin your good morning tomorrow–tonight!

Get a jump on your good morning. Make it a point to review positive aspects about your day or things you appreciate just before you fall asleep tonight. Not only will you begin to rest better, you will wake up more often with appreciation on your mind.

Make your good morning choice a positive one!

Is it Too Hard to Be Happy?

I was visiting with a young woman, recently, and she was complaining of having a bad day. When I greeted her that morning, she started off by complaining about being tired. She had been working on something she didn’t want to be doing the previous few days.

I told her it was her choice to be happy or not. Her reply stunned me! She said,

“It’s too hard to be happy!”

Then I thought back over my life when I was miserable and always complaining. I knew I was supposed to be at peace and be joyous—my religion told me so—but, I wasn’t. Well, let me take that back—I wasn’t on a consistent basis. I was at peace and joyful when conditions were right. If everything was going well, I was happy. As soon as I had an uncomfortable situation rear its head, my mood immediately dropped. Usually with a very loud thud!

The complaining and blaming would commence. I just had to tell everyone my newest plight. I had to get others to see how horribly I had been treated or what new suffering I had to endure. Misery set in for days, weeks—even months.

But now….

But NOW, I am practicing my happiness.

You may ask,

“How do you practice happiness? Is that even possible?”

I am finally learning that by making choices about what I think, will keep me in a better-feeling place.  I am finally learning to practice choosing thoughts that bring relief. I am choosing thoughts that feel better and better.

When some thought knocks on the door of my mind, I look through the peep-hole and see who it is. If I see a thought or thoughts about a situation that I do not want, I stop looking at it through the peep-hole and walk away. Saying, “I so glad I don’t have to answer the door and invite that bad-feeling thought in for coffee.”

I can turn around and choose to look for something to appreciate, something that feels good to think about.

Sometimes, for a while, I can still hear the thought outside my door, yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs to let them in. That they need my immediate attention. That they need to discuss a lot of things. Sometimes, I can still hear their words through the closed door and if I’m not careful to distract myself by looking for things to appreciate, I will start listening to them and give them some attention. But, my god, it feels awful!

I am beginning to really care about how I feel. It’s becoming my priority to make sure I feel better and better every day. When the twins, Appreciation and Gratitude, come knocking, I throw open the door to my mind and say, “Please, do come in and stay a while! We have so much to talk about!”

You know, every now and then, I will see the BFT (Bad-Feeling-Thoughts) run past a window and around to the back door, but I’m so enjoying my visit with the twins that I don’t even bother with their whining.

This little metaphor is to let you know that you are in charge of who you give attention to. Did you notice I said give attention? Yep, it’s your choice to give your attention and time to thoughts. You are the only thinker of your thoughts. No one else can think for you. No one can force you to think thoughts. Thoughts are your very sacred possession! So guard them well.

Now that I am practicing my own happiness and am getting better and better at it every day, I can’t imagine why anyone would want to be unhappy. Why would happiness be harder than being miserable?

For one thing, we don’t like change. We are comfortable with what is. The unknown is a little scary. We may have practiced negative thought patterns for so long, they are almost like a friend. Even though we don’t like them, they’re all we have. We think it’s better to have a crappy friend than no friend at all. We don’t realize what a great friend we have in happiness!

Our old friend, NTP (Negative Thought Pattern) has hung around with us so long they are just second nature. They feel real. We try to think of good things, but NTP keeps butting into the conversation. We are getting really tired of NTP controlling our lives. We are not having a good time and they always bring Trouble.

You’ve heard about the Law of Attraction and all this mindset transformation stuff. You may have even seen some positive changes in some of your friends. You know you want something better.

So, what can we do?

The best way to get rid of NTP is to give some air-time to the twins, Appreciation and Gratitude. Sometimes, those buggers are hard to find, though! Especially at first, you really have to look for them. Don’t let NTP get the best of your attention.

The only thing that’s even remotely hard about happiness is that we have to actually practice thought discipline. Eeuuuwww! There’s that word that sounds hard—discipline!

If you’re too lazy to change your mind, just go take a nap.

Let me share with you how I went from Complaining Princess to Good-Feeling Goddess!

Every morning that I can, I go outside and sit on my wonderful porch and enjoy the early morning air. I look up at the sky and begin a conversation with Source Energy. I begin by appreciating Source for making me the positive affection of their gaze. I express my gratitude for the love I feel flowing to me and through me. I express gratitude for the support I experience with clarity, fun, ease, happiness, peace, harmony, inspiration, everything working out for me, loving relationships, etc. I loop that list over and over until I feel revitalized with good feelings. I list all the things I have that I am appreciating. I appreciate who I am becoming!!

Next I tell my story the way I want it to be—I do not include anything that may reflect a negative what is. This is my visualization time. I tell the story just like I would sit with you and tell you all about the wonderful things that are happening in my life. I make the story very emotional with all the sights, tastes, smells, feelings and what I hear. I am very animated when I tell my story. I make hand gestures, I raise my eyebrows, smile, giggle and do a happy-dance when it comes to that part of the story!!

I do this because I want to feel how real it is, because I know it is real in my vibrational reality. I’ve already created it and I’m just getting lined up vibrationally so it will come out and play with me.

There are so many times that I add another little detail to the story every time I tell it, that makes it even better! I get more clear on the details. Sometimes, I’ll get an inspired idea that I can take action on. Most of all, I do it because it feels really good to tell my story the way I want it to be. As I do this every day that I can, I’m building momentum and my point of attraction is zeroing in on what I want.

This exercise is a wonderful way to get into alignment with who we really are. If you don’t know who you really are, let me just tell you a little about You!

You are…

  • You are an extension of Source Energy
  • You are an eternal being of light and love
  • You are pure, positive energy
  • You are perfection
  • You made you (You the eternal made you the physical)
  • You are worthy of all good things
  • You are ever-expanding, eternally, into a more and more beautiful…YOU!

Vitamin B-Complex – Product Highlight

Vitamin B-Complex (100 Caps)

Stock No. 1778-9

Occasionally, we all feel a bit nervous, a little jittery. Many times that nervousness leads to exhaustion and lethargy. It seems the Life Force has been sapped right out of us. Combined with these symptoms, are symptoms of digestive problems–upset tummies, inability to eat properly. Maybe even having the feeling of a lump in the throat from stress and tension.

If we look at wellness from a holistic approach, nervousness or anxiety can stem from our need to control situations, circumstances and people. Before we discuss the metaphysics of nervousness, let’s discuss our nutritional needs that may need a boost.

Let’s take a look….

Benefits:

  • Supports nervous system function.
  • Aids digestive functions.
  • Enhances enzyme reactions.

How It Works:

B vitamins are particularly important for the nervous system. They are also vital for good digestive function and enzyme reactions that control energy, circulation, hormones and overall health. Their actions are interdependent, so for greatest efficiency the complex should be taken together.

Ingredients:

Provides 100–600% of the Daily Value of thiamin, riboflavin, niacinamide, vitamin B6, folic acid, vitamin B12, biotin and pantothenic acid per serving, plus choline, inositol, lemon bioflavonoid extract, PABA, rutin, wheat germ, rose hips extract and acerola fruit extract.

Recommended Use:

Take 1 capsule with a meal three times daily.

Coach Mary Ann’s Notes:

When you feel nervous or anxious, it is from fearful thought patterns. When you struggle with feeling overwhelmed or feel like you have to rush or hurry, it’s time to step back and understand that the process of life is really trustworthy!

When we have forced our bodies to succumb to day-after-day of fears, because we don’t trust the process of life, our bodies’ functions suffer and diminish. We fail to choose good life-giving foods, we gulp meals down in a hurry, we fail to see the joy of life unfolding as it should in it’s own timing.

Know that life is trustworthy. The universe is friendly. You don’t have to be in control of others. Your only job is to think thoughts that bring relief and help you feel good. While you’re working on learning to focus your thought patterns to better and better-feelings, give your body a little assistance and feed it the food it needs to replenish and re-establish balance.

Nature’s Sunshine Products, Vitamin-B Complex is the first thing I would reach for to balance my body long enough as I work on my vibrational emotions. My body does need good nutrients to rebuild and restore its functional balance. I embrace using whole food supplements like NSP Vitamin-B Complex to help facilitate restoration, all the while, I do the work of releasing the need to control and allow well-being to flow through me bringing peace and calm and balance into my emotions and body.
