Who Are YOU?

“Know you are worthy. Know you are valuable. Know you are love. Know YOU!” ~Mary Ann Pack

Do you know who you are?

I’m not talking about your identity as a partner, a parent, your career, your religion or your political affiliation. Those are wonderful, meaningful events, but that’s not who you are.

I’m referring to the real you–the inside you–your Inner Being.

In conversations with other people, we tend to speak about each other as the parent of…the wife of…the department head of…the follower of…or even the volunteer of X political party. We focus on labels to identify who we think we are. When we hear that so-in-so holds this position or is the parent of that child, we think we can pigeon-hole and make certain assumptions as to who they are.

We make judgments, without necessarily, even recognizing what we are doing. We’ve done it so long, if just feels natural or normal. We tend not to look beyond the physical trappings of life and into the soul.

We do this to ourselves, too. If I was to walk up and ask you who you were, what would you answer? Depending upon the situation or conversation, you’d be likely to answer, I’m the parent of Sam. I’m the supervisor for Company X. I belong to the X political party and vote this way. I’m the activist for X project.

But, that’s not the inside you. That’s not your soul, spirit or Inner Being. That’s not who you really are.

Let me remind you about who you really are. This is what I know about you!

  • You are an extension of Source Energy.
  • You are perfect, pure positive Light and Love.
  • You are loved and you ARE Love.
  • You are One with All-That-Is, all that ever was, is, and will ever be.
  • You are an unlimited, eternal non-physical entity.
  • The non-physical part of you, some call it your soul or spirit, is greater, wiser and older than your physical experience.
  • You created your body and your physical life experience.
  • You came here to experience the joy of creation.
  • You came here to this particular time-space reality to live on the leading edge of thought.
  • You came here to shine your brilliance.
  • You are worthy. Period.
  • You are worthy whether you do anything or not. Doing does not constitute worthiness. Worthiness is your being. It’s who you are.
  • You are valuable. Period.
  • Your value is not dependent upon your actions. You are joyously valuable right here, right now, and every now thereafter.
  • You are unconditionally loved. You don’t have to change any condition or behavior to be loved by Source. You just are.
  • You are appreciated by Source Energy.
  • Source Energy is always, and only, flowing love and appreciation to you and through you.
  • You are an ever-expanding eternal creator who harnesses the power that creates worlds!
  • You always feel good.
  • You always think good-feeling thoughts about you, the physical.
  • You only see good in others and their highest potential.
  • You love seeing the contrast or variety that your physical life experience has to offer, knowing that it will help you choose your preferences for more of what you do want.
  • You love the creative process of becoming more, every time you see something you don’t want, and then, know what you do want.
  • It’s thrilling for you to look through your physical eyes into the world and see things you love and appreciate.
  • It feels so good to you, when you can look at the differences in the world, and know it doesn’t affect your ability to choose happiness.
  • You appreciate differences, contrast and variety. You love the saying, Variety is the spice of life!, because you are living that spicy life!
  • You never look upon anyone or any condition with criticism.
  • You will never agree with the physical you, when you get on a rampage of complaining or hatred.
  • You refuse to join in any criticism or complaining, whatsoever.
  • You are always calling the physical you, to a higher and higher vibrational life, because it feels so good.
  • You are here for the expansion of it all, for the joy of it all, for the fun of it all!
  • You are free to choose anything you want to be, do or have.
  • You are so free, you could choose bondage, but you choose freedom, because it feels so awesome!
  • You are amazing and love sharing the joy of who you are!!!

These are just some of the things I know about you and who you really are.

When are YOU going to start believing them?

If you need assistance in remembering who you really are, I’m here to help. Reach out to me and I’ll walk with you into your expanded becoming! YOU ARE WORTHY!

Stress Relief 101

“The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.” ~William James

We tend to think of stress as coming from outside sources. You may recognize some of the following statements about stress.

This situation with him stresses me out!

I’m going through a stressful week at work.

I’m so stressed out over finances.

Driving in traffic stresses me to rage!

You get the idea.

Pure and simple, stress is resistance–resistance against something we don’t like or something we may not want to do, but feel obligated or responsible to fulfill. Resistance against someone who we don’t agree with or don’t like to be around. Stress doesn’t feel good.

In this universe governed by the Law of Attraction where–that which is like unto itself, is drawn–like simply attracts like. When laws are involved, there is no other option. The Law states that like attracts like. The universe is playing a matching game where the rule demands when a vibration is given off, it must, by law, find something that essentially matches the same vibration.

We know that everything is energy–thank you, Albert–and as such, our every thought is energy. We, also, know that energy is in constant motion and gives off vibrations. So, our thoughts are constantly giving off vibrations of different frequencies.

If the universe, by law, is matching each vibration of thought, and if we are thinking we are under stress, doesn’t it stand to reason we have attracted whatever stressors we believe we are suffering, by our own thoughts??

So, if we have attracted the stress by our thoughts, can’t we simply change our thoughts to a different vibrational frequency to gain some relief? I’m so glad you asked! Yes, we can!!

Because we attracted stress by our thoughts, we absolutely can change our thoughts to change our attraction to stressors. We have the power within our thoughts to attract a calm and peaceable life! Ease and flow can be the dominant experience with the right kind of thoughts–thoughts that actually feel good.

Stress is a resistance to something or someone unwanted. Resistant thoughts activate more thoughts of resistance, which attract more resistance. We are now completely stressed out!!

Instead, why not look for positive aspects in an unwanted situation? Remember the saying about everything having a silver lining? Find something, some aspect, to appreciate as you are facing something unwanted, rather than being in resistance. Every time we look for something to appreciate, we are activating our vibrational attraction of more to appreciate!

Every situation is either fulfilling a desire or clarifying a desire. In other words, when we are experiencing something we attracted–because we attract everything that comes to us–it is either fulfilling one of our desires or it is giving us time to clarify the details of a desired improvement.

While we are facing some situation that we see could turn into a stress for us, why not take the opportunity to change our thoughts and find something to appreciate. Even if it’s simply to appreciate the opportunity to decide more clearly what we really do want.

Appreciate that this person has given you the opportunity to clarify an improved vision of your relationships. Appreciate the fact that you have work and want to be successful. Appreciate a characteristic or quality that the person exemplifies–even if it’s that they have nice hair! Appreciate that you have a vehicle and feel yourself gliding on a magic carpet of ease and flow through traffic.

And maybe, just maybe, you may have to say, NO. No, I will not help with this project. No, I will not help you move this weekend. No, son/daughter we are not joining another athletic team that takes away from our family time. No, to the busyness. No, to the hurrying. Just say NO!

We are not here to please others. We are not here to make sure everyone else is happy at the expense of our sanity and well-being. We must stop being people-pleasers! We can never do enough for others to please them all the time. And, there are just too many moving parts to please or control! Resisting our well-being by trying to please everyone else is attracting way to much stress. The more people-pleasing you perform, the more reasons you’ll attract unnecessary stress.

But, we have the power to say no to others, and yes to ourselves, our peace of mind and well-being. Yes to our freedom of choice! Yes to new thought patterns that bring relief.

Yes, this change of attitude and thought patterns take time and practice, but the effort is so worth…YOU!

All is Well!

Is it Too Hard to Be Happy?

I was visiting with a young woman, recently, and she was complaining of having a bad day. When I greeted her that morning, she started off by complaining about being tired. She had been working on something she didn’t want to be doing the previous few days.

I told her it was her choice to be happy or not. Her reply stunned me! She said,

“It’s too hard to be happy!”

Then I thought back over my life when I was miserable and always complaining. I knew I was supposed to be at peace and be joyous—my religion told me so—but, I wasn’t. Well, let me take that back—I wasn’t on a consistent basis. I was at peace and joyful when conditions were right. If everything was going well, I was happy. As soon as I had an uncomfortable situation rear its head, my mood immediately dropped. Usually with a very loud thud!

The complaining and blaming would commence. I just had to tell everyone my newest plight. I had to get others to see how horribly I had been treated or what new suffering I had to endure. Misery set in for days, weeks—even months.

But now….

But NOW, I am practicing my happiness.

You may ask,

“How do you practice happiness? Is that even possible?”

I am finally learning that by making choices about what I think, will keep me in a better-feeling place.  I am finally learning to practice choosing thoughts that bring relief. I am choosing thoughts that feel better and better.

When some thought knocks on the door of my mind, I look through the peep-hole and see who it is. If I see a thought or thoughts about a situation that I do not want, I stop looking at it through the peep-hole and walk away. Saying, “I so glad I don’t have to answer the door and invite that bad-feeling thought in for coffee.”

I can turn around and choose to look for something to appreciate, something that feels good to think about.

Sometimes, for a while, I can still hear the thought outside my door, yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs to let them in. That they need my immediate attention. That they need to discuss a lot of things. Sometimes, I can still hear their words through the closed door and if I’m not careful to distract myself by looking for things to appreciate, I will start listening to them and give them some attention. But, my god, it feels awful!

I am beginning to really care about how I feel. It’s becoming my priority to make sure I feel better and better every day. When the twins, Appreciation and Gratitude, come knocking, I throw open the door to my mind and say, “Please, do come in and stay a while! We have so much to talk about!”

You know, every now and then, I will see the BFT (Bad-Feeling-Thoughts) run past a window and around to the back door, but I’m so enjoying my visit with the twins that I don’t even bother with their whining.

This little metaphor is to let you know that you are in charge of who you give attention to. Did you notice I said give attention? Yep, it’s your choice to give your attention and time to thoughts. You are the only thinker of your thoughts. No one else can think for you. No one can force you to think thoughts. Thoughts are your very sacred possession! So guard them well.

Now that I am practicing my own happiness and am getting better and better at it every day, I can’t imagine why anyone would want to be unhappy. Why would happiness be harder than being miserable?

For one thing, we don’t like change. We are comfortable with what is. The unknown is a little scary. We may have practiced negative thought patterns for so long, they are almost like a friend. Even though we don’t like them, they’re all we have. We think it’s better to have a crappy friend than no friend at all. We don’t realize what a great friend we have in happiness!

Our old friend, NTP (Negative Thought Pattern) has hung around with us so long they are just second nature. They feel real. We try to think of good things, but NTP keeps butting into the conversation. We are getting really tired of NTP controlling our lives. We are not having a good time and they always bring Trouble.

You’ve heard about the Law of Attraction and all this mindset transformation stuff. You may have even seen some positive changes in some of your friends. You know you want something better.

So, what can we do?

The best way to get rid of NTP is to give some air-time to the twins, Appreciation and Gratitude. Sometimes, those buggers are hard to find, though! Especially at first, you really have to look for them. Don’t let NTP get the best of your attention.

The only thing that’s even remotely hard about happiness is that we have to actually practice thought discipline. Eeuuuwww! There’s that word that sounds hard—discipline!

If you’re too lazy to change your mind, just go take a nap.

Let me share with you how I went from Complaining Princess to Good-Feeling Goddess!

Every morning that I can, I go outside and sit on my wonderful porch and enjoy the early morning air. I look up at the sky and begin a conversation with Source Energy. I begin by appreciating Source for making me the positive affection of their gaze. I express my gratitude for the love I feel flowing to me and through me. I express gratitude for the support I experience with clarity, fun, ease, happiness, peace, harmony, inspiration, everything working out for me, loving relationships, etc. I loop that list over and over until I feel revitalized with good feelings. I list all the things I have that I am appreciating. I appreciate who I am becoming!!

Next I tell my story the way I want it to be—I do not include anything that may reflect a negative what is. This is my visualization time. I tell the story just like I would sit with you and tell you all about the wonderful things that are happening in my life. I make the story very emotional with all the sights, tastes, smells, feelings and what I hear. I am very animated when I tell my story. I make hand gestures, I raise my eyebrows, smile, giggle and do a happy-dance when it comes to that part of the story!!

I do this because I want to feel how real it is, because I know it is real in my vibrational reality. I’ve already created it and I’m just getting lined up vibrationally so it will come out and play with me.

There are so many times that I add another little detail to the story every time I tell it, that makes it even better! I get more clear on the details. Sometimes, I’ll get an inspired idea that I can take action on. Most of all, I do it because it feels really good to tell my story the way I want it to be. As I do this every day that I can, I’m building momentum and my point of attraction is zeroing in on what I want.

This exercise is a wonderful way to get into alignment with who we really are. If you don’t know who you really are, let me just tell you a little about You!

You are…

  • You are an extension of Source Energy
  • You are an eternal being of light and love
  • You are pure, positive energy
  • You are perfection
  • You made you (You the eternal made you the physical)
  • You are worthy of all good things
  • You are ever-expanding, eternally, into a more and more beautiful…YOU!

NSP Vitamin D3 – Product Highlight

Vitamin D3 (60 Tabs)

Stock No. 1155-1

I love being out in the sunshine! Most days I get outside to enjoy sitting or walking in nature. I love the wonderful mood it creates in me. At the same time, I’m benefitting from the sunshine on my skin and my bare feet on the ground. My body is utilizing all of what nature has to offer. I always imagine my trillions of cells just humming merrily along receiving exactly what they need to run efficiently and keep me in vibrant health!

Some of us live in locations that simply don’t get enough sunshine each day. Some of us live in colder climates and our skin doesn’t benefit from being exposed to the sun’s rays of life. Some of us may live in more polluted air conditions that prevent us from venturing out into the sun. If any of these seem to match your situation, please consider supplementing your diet with Vitamin D3.

Let’s take a look….

  • Supports bone health.
  • Helps maintain the immune system.
  • May help improve mood.
  • Provides 2,000 IU vitamin D per tablet.

How It Works:

Vitamin D comes in two forms: D2 and D3. Of the two, D3 is more bioactive. The body synthesizes vitamin D3 from cholesterol and sunlight; which makes it difficult to obtain adequate amounts of vitamin D during cloudy or winter months. In the body, vitamin D is responsible for maintaining normal blood levels of calcium and phosphorus, and helping to build strong bones. Vitamin D may also contribute to the overall health of the cardiovascular system. It works with other vitamins, minerals and hormones to promote bone mineralization. Research shows that vitamin D may help support a healthy immune system by regulating lymphocyte function, cytokine production and macrophage activity. Studies also show that Vitamin D may improve seasonal mood disorders.

2,000 IU Vitamin D3 per tablet (500% Daily Value).

Recommended Use:

Take 1–2 tablets daily with a meal.

Coach Mary Ann’s Notes:  If your desire is to approach well-being holistically, I can’t stress enough how important it is for you to be out in nature. Not only does nature promote well-being of mind and mood, the sun on the skin and entering through your uncovered eyes for 2 hours every day will a great jump start to restoring your wellness. It is important to receive sunlight indirectly through your eyes–no glasses. You can wear a cap or hat that provides some shade, but for the most part you want to be exposed to the sun’s life-giving rays.

If at all possible, for at least 15-20 minutes of your trek outside, sit or walk around with your feet bare. Allow your body to have full contact with the energy of the earth. Wriggle your toes in the soil, moist grass, sand or sea water. This process is known as Earthing or Grounding. You will find tons of great information on it through an internet search.

The best way to restore your body’s balance for Vitamin D is by spending some time during your day out in nature, the cells of your body reap the benefit of a better mood vibration from you and it benefits from the life-giving sustenance of Mother Earth. If you need additional supplementation, consider NSP Vitamin D3.

You may notice your blood pressure coming down, that you are digesting your foods better, you’re not getting as sick as before, you are sleeping better, you are more calm and relaxed and you just feel stronger. These are all the benefits of supplementing with Vitamin D3 and our friend, Mr. Sunshine!!

I am here to help you on your wellness journey. Please contact me if you have questions or would like to coach with me. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

NSP Curcumin BP – Product Highlight

CurcuminBP (60 Caps)

Stock No. 238-2

Inflammation is a great health concern for many folks. Between the stresses of life, the Standard American Diet (SAD), our pesticide and chemical laden foods, cleaning products and household furnishings, our bodies endure enormous amounts of inflammation generating contaminants.

The active ingredient of turmeric, curcumin, is a potent anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant. It helps to quiet the overactive inflammatory response in our bodies. It’s benefits reach far into the cells, themselves.

Be sure to look at the end of this post for my CurcuminBP Golden Milk recipe!!

Let’s take a look….

  • Encourages a healthy inflammatory response*
  • Supports your body’s immune, circulatory and glandular systems*
  • Helps safeguard your body at the cellular level*

How It Works:

Strengthen your Body’s daily defenses. This antioxidant-rich turmeric extract promotes a healthy inflammatory response while supporting your body’s immune, circulatory and glandular systems. Formulated for maximum potency, CurcuminBP features black pepper, which studies show enhances bioavailability. Enjoy naturally powerful results with Curcumin BP —your first line of defense for a healthier life. *

Curcumin—obtained from the rhizomes of the yellow curry spice turmeric(Curcuma longa L), curcumin has been safely used for centuries in Indian Ayurvedic medicine. A potent antioxidant, curcumin supports a healthy inflammatory response and may help with weight loss as well as support the skeletal, circulatory, digestive and immune systems.

Black pepper extract—a black pepper fruit extract from the Piper nigrum species, black pepper has been added to enhance curcumin’s naturally poor bioavailability. Black pepper may also aid with some occasional digestive discomfort and has antioxidant properties.

Recommended Use:

Take 2 capsules daily with water.

Coach Mary Ann’s Notes:

According to metaphysics and Ayurvedic medicine, inflammation is excess heat in the body. Emotionally, heat is caused by anger and rage, frustration and a feeling of disempowerment. So, we must look first to our thoughts and how they affect our bodies who are obedient to our vibrations. First and foremost, we affect our bodies by the vibration of our thoughts and feelings.

From a holistic healing approach, if you are suffering with inflammatory illnesses, you may want to look first to your dominant thought patterns as the culprit. Support your body by choosing a more positive outlook on life and begin to look for every little and big thing you can appreciate. Make lists and lists, every day, of things you appreciate and the positive aspects of every event, circumstance and situation in which you find yourself. There is always something to appreciate. When you begin to really start looking, even when it’s only little things, more things will start coming to mind and that feeling of appreciation will gain momentum until you find relief from feeling bad and start to feel really good!

Next, consider using food as your medicine. Nature’s Sunshine Products offers one of the finest curcumin (the active ingredient in turmeric) supplements, because they have blended it with black pepper to increase bioavailability. Since turmeric is naturally not as bioavailable for our bodies’ use, NSP included black pepper into their blend of curcumin to activate the bioavailability and our bodies reap the benefit.

If you suffer with inflammation in your body, consider purchasing CurcuminBP. You may also want to consider making my CurcuminBP Golden Milk recipe for a single serving:

Combination in a sauce pan:

  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1-2 tsp. coconut oil (your preference if you’d like more)
  • local pure honey, to taste
  • Ceylon cinnamon, ground (start with a pinch, add to taste)
  • 3-4 capsules of CurcuminBP (opened and emptied)
  • Put sauce pan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and briskly whisk while simmering for 2-3 minutes. Pour into a mug and enjoy!!
  • The CurcuminBP will not stay blended. It will film on the top, but that really hasn’t bothered me. You can stir it every once in a while as you sip it’s yumminess!

NSP Super Trio – Product Highlight

Super Trio (60 Packets)

Stock No. 222-7

Super Trio from Nature’s Sunshine Products is another absolute favorite of mine! I love the convenience of getting three of my nutritional foundation supplements all in one little packet. Two packets a day and you’re ahead of the game for your nutritional requirements. There are always other great supplements that I suggest for specific health concerns, but Super Trio is the strongest nutritional foundation you can lay.

If you have completed your cleansing detox in your journey to wellness, it’s time to begin laying that sure, strong foundation for your nutritional requirements. I love the fact that NSP uses whole food supplements. They don’t stir bits and pieces that are extracted from foods. They don’t synthesize concoctions from non-food chemicals. They have the integrity to use pure, high quality sources that are the foundation for all their products.

Let’s have a look….

  • Provides antioxidant support
  • Promotes vitality and longevity

How It Works:

Each Packet of Super Trio offers powerful, effective doses of three potent Nature’s Sunshine formulas. Taken together, these proprietary blends offer a nutritious combination of essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants-each an important component of daily nutrition, vitality, and longevity.

Super Supplemental Vitamins & Minerals, Super Omega-3 EPA and Super ORAC.

Recommended Use:

Take the contents of 2 packets daily with meals. One box supplies a full month of portable, powerful nutrition.

Coach Mary Ann’s Notes: I can really tell when I’ve missed my Super Trio. These products are so amazing and are assimilated so well by our bodies, that sometimes it is a couple days before I feel the effects of having missed them. Sometimes life gets so busy that we simply can’t remember to do all the wonderful stuff we intend to do on our wellness journey. I understand, believe me! When that second or third day rolls around, I’m feeling the sluggishness and loss of vitality that I usually feel. Duh! I forgot my Super Trio!

I run, not walk (ha!) to the cabinet and retrieve my Super Trio packet. Within a short time, I can actually feel the vitality and go-get-um return to my body!

I know that convenience is the only way for most of us to take our supplements. I love knowing that I don’t have to open three different bottles every morning and evening. Ugh! I also appreciate the value of not having to buy three individual bottles, because it saves money! A wonderful added bonus. The little packets are easy to open and contain all three supplements–my vitamin/mineral, my omega and my anti-oxidant. I always, always, always keep a couple extra packets in my purse and desk drawer.

When a client or customer has completed their initial Tiao He Cleanse, or their cleanse of choice, this is the time I suggest they start building their nutritional foundation. They are very happy to know they can carry them with them. They are very happy to know they are not tied to three big bottles, every time they need to go to work or travel. These are so much easier to take on vacation–two little packets a day for each day I’m away–easy-peasy!

I am a huge proponent of building your nutritional foundation first. I do not like hit-and-miss methods. I do not encourage anyone to spend extra money throwing it at conditions that may be remedied with a better nutritional foundation. I always have my clients and customers build their nutritional foundation first, because many times I’ve witnessed other health issues disappear! Begin with this base nutrition plan first and then allow your body to get back on track. Later, we can look at consider supplements for stubborn health areas.

Of course, there are other foundational supplements that I like to offer my clients and customers like Ultimate GreenZone, Probiotic Eleven, CoQ10, Food Enzymes, LBS II. There are so many awesome products to help you through your wellness journey and we will discuss these in future blogs!

Tiao He Cleanse

Tiao He Cleanse (15 Day)

Stock No. 3050-5

The Tiao He Cleanse is the detox that saved my life back in 1993! After having suffered with stomach issues since childhood, migraines since high school, thyroid disease (nodules) in my early 20’s, miscarriages, Grave’s disease, gall-bladder disease, and hormonal issues–it was time to take my well-being into my own hands. The drugs were causing more harm than good. I’d had enough when driving down a road I knew well, with my babies in the back seat–yet didn’t know where I was. I was terrified! I was only in my mid-30’s. At this rate I knew I wouldn’t see 40!

The next day I marched myself over to a health food store and told the owner to fix me! Fortunately, it was a retailer who sold Nature’s Sunshine Products . The finest quality products I have had the privilege of using–even after all these years in the wellness business. That was the very beginning of my journey back to wellness. That day I began taking the Tiao He Cleanse. It saved my life!

I immediately found relief from the severe migraines. Instead of having a migraine on the second or third day after my last one, while on the cleanse, I made it to day six before one struck! Then it went to two weeks! Then longer and longer in between. I cannot say enough about beginning your wellness journey with detox–and this one is my favorite–hands down!

  • Supports the intestinal system.
  • Supports intestinal regularity.
  • May improve energy and well-being.

How It Works:

Tiao He Cleanse is a 15-day nutritional program designed to help the body achieve balance and harmony. It combines Chinese nutritional and Western herbal experience. The Tiao He Cleanse is designed to support the cleansing mechanisms of the body by targeting the intestinal, digestive and circulatory systems.

Each packet contains 1 capsule each of Chinese Liver Balance TCM Concentrate, All Cell Detox, LBS II, Psyllium Hulls, Burdock Root and Black Walnut ATC Concentrate.

Recommended Use:

Take the contents of 1 packet 15 minutes before meals up to two times daily (for 15 days) with 8 oz. water, followed by another 8 oz. water. This should produce two or three bowel movements daily. If stools become too loose, reduce the number of packets you use. Continue the program until you have used all 30 packets. Not recommended for children.

NOTE: This product contains cascara sagrada, buckthorn, turkey rhubarb and ginseng. See your health care provider prior to use if: pregnant or nursing, any medical condition exists or when taking any medication. Read and follow recommendation carefully. Do not use if diarrhea, loose stools or abdominal pain are present or develop. Not intended for prolonged use. Use of this product may worsen these conditions and be harmful to your health. Chronic diarrhea can result in serious illness. May cause allergic reaction in persons sensitive to inhaled or ingested psyllium.

Coach Mary Ann’s Notes: Do yourself a favor–do your body a favor, and at least try this cleanse. I’ve watched my clients and customers receive so many benefits when beginning their wellness journey with this cleanse. Nature’s Sunshine Products makes many wonderful cleansing products, but I have to say this one is easy to use and does a wonderful job of cleansing the body.

Most importantly, it prepares your body to uptake the nutritional or herbal supplements you may choose to use for targeting specific health concerns. When you take this, or any cleanse, please remember to eat easy-to-digest meals. Try to use the 80-20% rule. Choose 80% of your diet as raw foods or gently cooked and only 20% of your food choices to be cooked. The goal is to allow the cleanse to work in your digestive system more easily. You are wanting your digestive system to have time to cleanse and not trying to digest heavy meals. Give your body a break for the 15 days you will be on the cleanse.

Remember to drink plenty of pure water. An excellent rule of thumb is to consume half your body weight in ounces per day. Example: If you weigh 150 pounds, you would consume 75 ounces of water each day. Of course, be mindful if you are exercising, live in warm climates, or work in the heat to increase your water intake substantially. Just remember this…if you get thirsty, you are already dehydrated!

Drinking plenty of pure water helps move the toxins out of your body and bring relief. Water is also a great conductor of electrical currents. Our bodies are constantly giving and receiving electrical impulses and messages from one part of our bodies to the next. Water is a great tool for our body to use and speeds up the message system.

Please let me hear from you if you are searching for a detox cleanse to begin your wellness journey. I would be thrilled to share my 23 years of experience with you!

Remember, your natural state is that of well-being! It’s time to detox your body and allow well-being to reign.

Making Decisions Summons Life Force!

“Make more decisions in every day. Because a decision is a summoning of life. That’s why a little chaos is good for you, because often you don’t make a decision until you get yourself in a jam. And then, in the middle of the jam, you make a decision, but that decision summons Life Force. Have you ever been a place where you couldn’t quite make up your mind and you just felt sort of limp? ‘Oh, I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know.’ And then you decided, and you felt alive again. We want you to know that you’ll never get it done. So don’t approach this from, ‘I gotta get on this’ because you’re not ever going to get it done, anyway. And the other thing we want you to know is, you cannot get it wrong. So, make a decision. Let it flow.” ~Abraham-Hicks, Excerpted from Larkspur, CA on August 16, 1998

I recently received this email quote from my favorite mentor, Abraham-Hicks. What a glorious reason to make decisions!

When we make decisions it actually summons Life Force!

We are reassured that we never get it done and can never get it wrong. So, we can relax in our decisions and just keep making them with the intent of feeling good. We will feel alive and vibrant as we make decisions. That alone should encourage us to make our decisions all day, every day.

Growing up in my family, our religious beliefs were such that there are right and wrong decisions. That decisions could be made that would take us down a dangerous path to destruction. If we didn’t make the exactly right decision, we were in for great misery.

The fear associated with that kind of limiting and paralyzing belief, was destructive in and of itself! If you didn’t get a word from God and He told you what to do, you would be open and vulnerable to the power of the devil. They wanted us to believe that we were so weak and powerless that we really couldn’t make the right decisions for our own lives! We had to be told how to make our own decisions.

It was taught that God was the only one that had a plan for our lives. As if we were his puppets. And, if you missed your path you were doomed. Really?! That we had to have our decisions stamped by his approval. How disempowering is that?

I rarely use the term God when I’m talking about Infinite Intelligence or my Higher Power. That term just doesn’t resonate with me, because the limiting power that is associated with that term from my past. Even though I was taught that God was all-powerful, all-knowing, all-present, I was still taught that there was another power–albeit a lesser power–that I simply had to work hard and fight against lest I succumb to eternal death.

Wait! What?! You’re telling me God is all-powerful, yet you are telling me there another power in the works? They say they are mono-theistic–one God, one Force, one Power–yet if there are two powers fighting each other that is polytheism! Even if one power is greater than the other, it’s still polytheism!

And, please understand there is no Evil Life Force out to get you! Trying to dissuade you from good. The only reason for anything to feel uncomfortable or when you have bad feelings is because you have strayed from your alignment with your Inner Source Energy–your personal Life Force. Life Force is only and always flowing love towards us. It is our resistance to this flow and our resistance to receiving the love and allow it to flow through us–that is our bad feelings. All bad feelings–even to the point of abuse. It’s not some evil force we have to fight!

Fast forward to today. Now that I’ve come to my new understanding and beliefs of the Eternal, All-in-All Non-Physical Life Force, I realized that I’d been lied to all those years when I was taught that I am nothing, I am a worm, I am so unworthy and need to be saved from myself. When I learned that Source Energy–my new term for all eternal goodness–only sees me as perfectly lovely, pure positive energy and is only and always flowing love, appreciation, support and all good things to me 24/7/365 while I live in this body, unbelievable peace and calm swept over me. That I am actually an extension of Source Energy who simply made a decision to focus part of my non-physical energy towards this physical life, and the majority of my non-physical older, wiser, eternal part is still with Source Energy in the non-physical.

That initial decision to focus my attention on the physical, created my life! That decision summoned Life Force. And, here I am today! And, guess what? Here you are, too!! You made the same wonderful decision.

As we see things in this life that we don’t want, it gives us the opportunity to know exactly what we do want. Those decisions are constantly summoning Life Force. We know what we do want by how we think it will make us feel if we receive it. It feels good. We know we want to feel good and deciding to want one thing verses something else, summons Life Force. We actually become the very thing we want! We have created new life that has never existed before!

When we notice what we want is not present, we are focusing on the lack of what we want. And, that feels bad. It feels bad, because we are not keeping up with the new person we have just become. We are not keeping up with the Life Force we just summoned.

So, how do we get back on track to feeling good in the wanting of something pleasurable?

How do we keep up with the Life Force we just summoned?

How do we keep up with who we have become when we expanded into this new person?

We make more decisions!

When we hem-and-haw, weighing all the pros and cons it stifles our Life Force. It slows the creative expansion way down. It feels sluggish and disempowering. It makes us feel old and haggard. It saps the Life Force right out of us.

Of course, some decisions take time to make. There are gestation periods of making decisions, but when you come from the mindset of wanting to feel good, your decision-making process is made easier. When you are in alignment with who you really are and who you have become when you wanted something, your path is lit up to help you make your decisions.

Source is always shining light on your path–and there are multiple paths for you to choose. They are neither good or bad, right or wrong. When we are aligned in our thoughts about wanting to simply feel good, we will choose thoughts that are in alignment with how Source thinks about the same subject at the same time.

If you are in a place of feeling bad, you are just out of alignment with how Source views the subject at the same time. If you would reach for a better-feeling thought, you would align yourself and your path would light up! The decision you need to make will seem easy and pleasurable.

You cannot make a good-feeling decision from a point of feeling bad. If you are laboring over a decision, give it a rest. Distract yourself with some subject that brings you relief and peace and harmony. Once you are in that place of pure alignment and are in line with the thoughts of Source, then enter the arena of decision-making.

When you are happy and feeling good, that alignment is like a huge light switch. Your path is lit up and you see the choices before you. Any of them are good opportunities. Any of them are possibilities. You see things you appreciate in each choice. So, just make a decision! Congrats! You just summoned Life Force!

Be happy with the choice you made. You are now ripe for a new adventure! You can now move forward with happy thoughts regarding your decision, knowing that Life Force is supporting you, sending you love and appreciation, clarity and ease–just as it always does. You feel good. No, you feel great! There is great anticipation and excitement as you move forward. The next decision seems to be easier to make. And the next. And the next. But, only when you remain in the state of feeling good.

Don’t let yourself and your mind get sidetracked. When you feel yourself veering off the path of feeling good, make a decision to steer yourself back to good-feeling thoughts. See? Right there, you just summoned more Life Force!

Make a decision to be happy–summoning Life Force. Make a decision to feel good and make the decision to keep it your top priority–summoning Life Force. From your happy-place, decision-making isn’t near as difficult as we tend to make it. Realize that we will never get it done, because we are eternal beings. This isn’t our last rodeo!

Realize we will never get it wrong–there are always new choices to move us along the course of the our path. Always new opportunities.

There are always new decisions to make that will summon Life Force!

All is Well!

Quilting Your Dream Life

I’ve only quilted a few times, myself, but I do enjoy admiring and owning some lovely quilts.  So, I was thinking about what it takes to make a quilt and how that would apply to building your dream.  This was my line of thinking….

Step 1:  You must have a dream or vision as what you’d like to make.  There may be discontent that you’re your old quilt is in really bad shape and doesn’t do the job anymore.  There must be a longing to make something.  Obviously, the subject is quilts, so knowing you’d like to make is quilt is important.

Step 2:  You must decide what the quilt’s purpose is.  You must envision where you will use this quilt.  Will it be for one of your own beds, a guest room, a baby or given as a gift?  You must have a love for quilts and quilting!

Step 3:  You must have a specific image in your mind of what you’d like the quilt to look like.  So, you envision the pattern, colors, textures and types of fabric, type of quilt batting (the fluffy stuff inside), the binding around the edge that holds it all together, the actual quilting pattern (where you’re going to stitch it together holding front and back to make the puffy feel ), and most importantly the size or dimensions.

Step 4:  After you’ve measured and decided on a pattern, bought the fabric and other supplies, you are ready to start creating the quilt top.  The fabric is laid out and the pattern placed on the fabric exactly as instructed.  Pieces are carefully cut and set aside for assembly.  Oh no!  The window is open and just blew all the pieces in the floor.  No matter!  You’re determined to pick up each piece and place it in its proper pile.

Step 5:  You begin piecing the fabric together either by hand or by machine.  Ugh!  Your neck and fingers hurt.  This is more time consuming that you thought!  No matter!  You are persistent to carefully add more pieces to the quilt puzzle and you complete the quilt top.

Step 6:  Now that you have the quilt top completed and set aside, it’s time to tackle the quilt back and batting.  Each is carefully measured and cut to size.  Rats!  The scissors slipped and a piece of the quilt needs replacing.  No matter!  You have the patience and work with precision to make the needed repairs.  Edging strips are measured and cut, then sewn together to create a very long strip of fabric that will encompass the outer edges.

Step 7:  With precision, all the parts are assembled and pinned or tacked (little stitches that will hold it all in place until the finish quilting can begin).  The top is layered over the batting and the backing, pinned and rolled onto a quilt rack.  Dang!  That quilt is hard to handle all in one piece.  You think you sprained your back tugging it onto the quilt rack roller and pinched your finger in the process.  No matter!  You want to give up, but you don’t, because you have a clear vision of the gorgeous quilt that is in the works.  It’s too important for you to finish.

Step 8:  Let the quilting (sewing all the layers together) begin!  The chosen pattern is drawn on the top of the quilt to follow for a lovely visual effect.  You wouldn’t think that tiny needle could prick your skin so hard.  And, trying to thread that needle is agony.  No matter!  You really want this quilt!

Step 9:  With the quilting finished the edges are trimmed and the bindings are attached.  When the binding is secured in place the final check is made making sure all the threads are tied off securely and all the pins removed.  Oh, my gosh!  Is that a thread hanging loose?  Ha!  No more, because you have an eye for detail.

Step 10:  Give the new quilt a good hard shake and allow it to fall beautifully over a bed to admire your work!  Call a loved one or friend to come and admire it with you.  Celebrate your achievement of creating a thing of beauty and get ready to put it to good use.  Now on to the next project!!

Now, I may have missed a few details above, but these are the basic steps in creating your dream life, too!  Let’s go through those steps, again, in your mind about dreaming of the life you’d love living….

Step 1:  You must feel a longing to create a new life.  Has there been discontent with your life now?  Is it not really serving you well?  Okay, you determine that you do really want something new, something better!  You are willing to start dreaming, because you really want to live the life you love!

Step 2:  You must know your why.  Why would you want to go through all the trouble of changing your life?  What are the benefits?  What is the purpose of your dream life?  What good will come out of it for you and others around you?  The truth is, you are worth it and deserve every good thing!

Step 3:  Knowing you want something better is good, but that doesn’t give you any details.  You need specifics like, what your new dream life looks and feels like.  Where will you live; what kind of house will it be?  What work would you love doing?  How many hours a week do you want to work?  What working environment would be ideal?  How much time do you get to spend with family and friends?  Details, you need details!  Otherwise, you don’t know the pattern to create your new life.

Step 4:  You start laying out your plan.  You set up some guidelines for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly goals.  You write out your Major Definite Purpose.  You mastermind with others to get creative thoughts flowing.  You can see the dream, but how, oh how; do you ever get over the huge gap between where you are and where you want to go?  Even though you don’t necessary know all the steps that will get you over the gap, you have faith and ask for help—coaching!

Step 5:  Now you start creating and taking action.  One little step at a time, your coach says to start “doing what you can do, with what you have, at the place you are right now”.  You piece those little steps together and the dream begins to take shape.  You can start to feel it and are getting excited!  You go look for that perfect house, research that perfect job or business opportunity.  You may test drive that dream car or start blogging about something you love and really ignites your passions.  Ugh!  Your computer just crashed.  Now, it seems that you’re behind.  No matter!  You have a dream and push on.

Step 6:  With the action steps you’ve taken in Step 5, you get some more inspired thoughts and ideas.  People arrive in your life to lend you a helping hand.  Circumstances and coincidences begin to appear that thrust you forward towards your dream life.  Things seemingly begin to fall into place.  Whoa!  A roadblock appears out of nowhere!  No matter!  You’re determined and persistent to go over, around, under or through this obstacle.  You’re inspired now—nothing can stop you!

Step 7:  Managing all these new pieces of our dream life can sometimes be a struggle.  It sometimes seems that it’s getting bigger than you can handle.  You may feel that you’re getting stretched or rolled up in a tight ball.  But all these are signs of growth and coming beauty.  You persevere.

Step 8:  Sometimes the needles of life start sticking you and you feel pierced through.  But there are the faint beginnings of a pattern showing up as you unfold from the rack.  There is some beauty taking shape in the form of new opportunities to buy that house, car or have that amazing relationship.  Your health is improving because you have decided to start eating right and walking every day.  Ooooh man!  Friends and family want to know what the heck you’re doing and why, for heaven’s sake, don’t you just go back the normal you?!  But, you feel and dream; you can taste the dream and it’s sweet.

Step 9:  As your dream life starts to unfold and you see the achievement you’ve made, you begin to wrap up the edges with a finish binding.  You close deals and start making the income you’ve dreams of.  You close the deal on that new home, get moved in and feel that “ahhhhh” when you walk in the door.  You may begin planning your dream wedding or honeymoon with your soul-mate.  Whoa!  A big new client just cancels, and that sets you back.  It’s okay.  You know there are other fish in the sea that really want the freedom you’re experiencing, so you press on.  You now know that this dream is worth it and you like this life you’re building!

Step 10:  Sometimes you can hardly believe you are actually living the life you’ve dream of.  Sometimes you just have to pinch yourself to see if it’s real!  But, when you stand back and look at what you’ve accomplished and how you’ve transformed your life, you’re thankful.  Gratitude exudes from your very being.  You want to share all that you’ve learned, accomplished and all the good you’ve received, so you tell others.  You just can’t keep it in!  You celebrate your new dream life and others join in your joyful celebration.  Now, on to the next dream!!

Frustration may come during the process.  Struggles may loom on the horizon.  Obstacles may create seeming roadblocks, but these, too, shall pass.  You have the determination, persistence and faith that you will create your dream life.  Storms will come and go, but your dream lives forever!  It’s in your heart and soul—it’s your purpose in this life and it must be shared.  It’s you’re calling and you must answer the call!  Most of all it calls you heart and love!

I’m standing in the belief that you can accomplish all that you desire.  Please let me help you design and build the life you would L-O-V-E to live!

Begin Your Wellness Journey with Detox: The Holistic Approach to Detox

When I began my wellness journey in 1993, it began with detoxing my body. Later, I realized that I also needed to detox more than just my body. That I was more than a physical being. That I was an eternal being that was toxic with negative patterns of thought. I realized I was causing my body’s suffering!

As my body healed, my mind started healing, too. Actually, I’m not sure which one came first. I think my thoughts had to begin shifting from allowing whatever the medical community threw at my dis-eased and ill body, to taking responsibility for my own health and well-being. I began by asking for help.

Asking for help was the turning point in my wellness.

I realized the medical community with all their pharmaceuticals and surgeries were just adding to my dis-ease (the imbalance and uneasiness in my body). Of course, I understand that there is a place for the medical community and the services they provide—so, no hate. They simply were attempting to mask the pain long enough for me to function—to survive. When the drugs didn’t work, I sustained surgery after surgery. But, I was not thriving!

I wanted to thrive!

Then, I had an episode where I actually didn’t know where I was, while driving, one day with my babies in the back seat and I knew it was time to get help and get away from the drugs. I knew I wouldn’t see 40 if I stayed on this path. I marched myself straight over to the local health food store the next day and told the owner to fix me. We talked a long time about all my troubles and she started me off with a detox—which has become my favorite since 1993! It has become my go-to cleanse each year. It was a Nature’s Sunshine Product; Tiao He Cleanse. Within 6 days I had my first evidence of relief!

Previously, my migraines came every 2-3 days. For years I didn’t make it more than 3 days without a total migraine blow-out! So, when I started the detox cleanse, I made it past day 3…then day 4…then day 5…then day 6…finally I developed a migraine. I almost made it a week without a migraine!!! This gave me the proof that what I was doing was spot on and kept going with the cleanse for the full 15 days.

After the first 6 days without a migraine, then it went to 2 weeks between the next migraine! I was in awe that what I was doing was giving me such relief that I had never, ever, known from the drugs I had been taking for so many years. I started having migraines in high school and this relief didn’t come until my mid-30’s.

I was sold! This was proof-positive that I was on the right track.

After the cleanse, my herbalist set me on a path to address my nutritional foundation and targeted areas of concern. Once I started getting the proper nutrition my body needed, in the form of vitamins, minerals, probiotics and such, I started with herbals for my hormones, digestion and anxiety.

Oh, by the way, she also helped me clear up my Irritable Bowel Syndrome with another herbal blend.

Was I good at eating well? It was and still is a process. I would love to say I only eat organically produced foods, but I have lived in the country for many years and my closest grocery store is 12 miles away. Our closest health food type grocery is 47 miles away, so it’s a bit of a challenge to keep my diet strictly organic. I do buy organic when it is available and frequent the local farmers market.

But, I also stay on my nutritional supplements and have a natural medicine cabinet.

Most of all, I’ve detoxed my mind. I’ve learned to focus more frequently on good-feeling thoughts rather than the negative thoughts. I understand that choosing to be happy and making that a priority has renewed my health more than anything I could have done through herbals and supplementation alone.

You see, our bodies respond quickly to the vibrations our feelings emit. Bare bones, our thoughts either feel good or they feel bad. You can easily monitor your thoughts and thought patterns by noticing how you feel throughout the day. You can also monitor your dominant thought patterns by taking inventory of your health condition and your life experiences.

Your body is giving you signals that you are spending way too much time in negative thought patterns, when you start experiencing symptoms of illness or dis-ease. Aches and pains are symptoms of dominant thoughts that make you feel bad. Your body is feeling the same way and is responding in kind.

I feel amazing most of the time and I’m 57 years old! I don’t have anywhere near the aches and pains and illness that I made my body suffer through when I lived in negatives-ville! There are so many times that I notice how good I actually feel. And, I am so grateful that I asked and was given the answers I sought.

Maybe it’s time for you to find your relief. Maybe it’s time for you to ask for help. I’m only an email or phone call away. Let me be that one who teaches you how to allow your well-being. Let me assist you on your wellness journey and we’ll begin with detox!
